Let’s just put this out there. I love Cuba. I love the people, the culture .. the old cars .. but that will be in a post following this of our adventures off the resort 😉
It was a dream of mine to photograph a destination wedding with my sisters, and right out of left field, Bruce + Alesha made that a reality. Not only did they want me to photograph it, they wanted my sister Jessie behind the camera alongside me and Britt (who went to school with Alesha) to do make-up. We had a few ‘no frickn way’ moments, a few moments of dancing around and yelling, and then the countdown began.
Bruce + Alesha. They compliment each other in every which way possible and no matter which way – up or down – things would send them during our week together, they worked through it together. This included weather, flight delays, wedding location changes (due to weather), hair dresser working on Cuba time lol … you name it, they seemed to get tossed it. They continued knowing that no matter what, they were there with family and friends and that they were celebrating being married. I just adore you two, and I can speak for both my sisters and I, that being a part of this week with you guys was unforgettable and surreal. Thank you for trusting in us to get you through your day looking beautiful, feeling beautiful AND…most importantly .. getting those beach photos.
Lastly. If you are still reading this (and if you’ve stopped reading and are scrolling you won’t be able to say I didn’t warn you, because I did), the very end of the wedding day was the.bomb. There is some PG rated photos at the end … but when your couple comes to find you (and their amazing videographer Maria Leslie) to go do the run-into-the-ocean-naked photos …. you get your crap together and you get down to the beach and hope something turns out 😉
To you two love birds. Thank you thank you thank you for bringing us along with you to celebrate, to laugh, and to make memories with you during this huge milestone in your lives. WE LOVE YOU TWO!!!
