It’s beginnings like this for old friends that make time feel like it has been blasting by like the speed of sound. Cole and I spent every.single.day together in high school. Two farm kids who liked curling, snowboarding, randomly deciding mid class to head to Edmonton to get a tattoo (!!!??) that I still have no idea WHY that was a grand idea, but it was all in the name of having a good time I suppose. Or just being dumb teenagers. We clearly liked hanging out so much that we even lived together when we finished high school .. and the adventures ensued. We did eventually go on our separate ways, but that never changed the fact that Cole knew more about me than I probably knew at that time in my life, and he was always the first guy to hear every problem I had lol. Then Steph entered the picture (he had enough prep hanging with me that I knew he would be just fine lol), and I couldn’t have been more happy that he scored the greatest human being. I didn’t really get to know her well until they got engaged, and Cole and I still joke about how he landed her 😉 Now moving along to their wedding, building an incredible new home and welcoming a BEAUTIFUL baby girl into their lives .. life has been zipping by, but it has been working out pretty damn fine.
You two – I can’t thank you enough for still continuing to have me be a part of your lives. You’re baby girl is going to be your greatest journey and I know that you two are going to kick ass at it. I loved watching you two silently adore her, and she is one lucky little lady. Thank you for allowing me to give these moments to you to cherish forever.
World, meet Charlotte. She’s super cute … for real.
