I photographed Brittany and her husband, Richard a few weeks before I got to have Brittany in front of the camera again. Was I sad about this? No. Not only is she an absolutely treat to photograph, she’s pretty damn cool too. For this session she wanted her gorgeous grey with a whole lot of personality to be included as well as her sweet friend, Kate and her mare (where her horse is currently staying at) to join. Now we all know (if you are new here, here’s the scoop. I love animals. The end) just how much my heart bursts at the seams when I am asked if animals can be included. The answer is always yes. Now with that, they are animals and they may or may not have their own agenda at times so I have learnt to just roll with it. What I have envisioned, may not happen .. ever lol. To say that this session was lacking excitement would be a total lie. We had a bit of a bonk in poor Kate’s face – had a small intermission as she had to go bandaid up her eyelid! followed by the goofball getting lose and showing off how beautifully he can run lol. Did we stop? Nope. We got the blood cleaned up, the horse caught, the reins fixed up and we snapped some beautiful images of these two and their babies.
Brittany also included a little surprise. Her cat Allan (if you ever want to see what that guy is up to, check her out on IG @brittanykichton), who has the personality 25 times the size of himself and loves adventures just as much as his mom .. popped in with Richard for a quick photo.
I can’t thank you two enough for maintaining such composure when things probably felt like they were falling apart and when you doubted in your minds that we would get absolutely nothing … you four rocked xo
